From Dr. May:
"Delinquent to doctorate. A rough adolescence led to a devastating drug and alcohol addiction that began at the age of 14. For years I struggled with these problems, until one day I decided it was over. I quit everything cold turkey, and the first thing I did was go to the gym."
"I celebrated my 10th anniversary of sobriety on August 1st of 2022, and credit my success in overcoming my mental health issues and substance abuse to my involvement in exercise and healthy lifestyle choices. I pursued and obtained a doctorate of occupational therapy through the University of North Dakota, Casper Wyoming site, because the activity-based interventions in the field were suited perfectly to my vision of using healthy, meaningful activity to treat mental illness. I'm deeply passionate about this work and plan to help as many people as I can to crawl out of the depths similar to those I once found myself in."
"As an occupational therapist I'm highly trained in the complex interactions between a person, their environments, and the things they want or need to do. Contact Uplift Therapy and Wellness to see if I can help you with your struggles today!"
